Our story
agency-review.com was founded in 2023 by a group of small business owners who, frankly, had been burned too many times. Between us we had wasted nearly $200,000 on agencies that promised the moon and delivered broken WordPress themes. We wanted somewhere honest to share what actually happened — the good, the boring, and the disasters.
Today our directory tracks more than 97 digital agencies across web design, SEO, paid media, branding, and social. Every review is submitted by a real client and verified against an invoice or signed engagement document before it appears.
How verification works
When a reviewer submits feedback, we confirm they worked with the agency by asking for a redacted invoice, contract, or email thread. Reviewers may stay anonymous to the public, but every "Verified" badge means a real human on our team has checked the proof.
Editorial independence
Agencies cannot pay to remove negative reviews, change their star rating, or rank higher in our directory. They can claim their profile and respond publicly to reviews — that's it.
The team
We're a remote team of seven spread across Austin, Raleigh, and Toronto. None of us has ever worked in agency sales, which we consider a feature.
